Voices From Our Participants

"Before I joined The Mangrove, I could speak English, but I definitely wasn't confident. I just didn't feel brave enough to really express myself. But after joining Sip & Share, I've grown do much. I have become much more confident, and I love that our community isn't just for English Education majors. It's full of people from all different backgrounds and majors, which makes every conversation so much richer.
It's been amazing to build such a great network, too. I have connected with so many different people such as students, lecturers, teachers and even staff. Honestly, I used to be the kind of girl who was always afraid to meet new people, but The Mangrove helped me discover that and I actually really enjoy networking! I'm so happy with how much I've grown since joining, and I truly hope The Mangrove keeps growing and blooming. If you are a young person looking to learn English, I'd be so thrilled to see you join us!"

Licitra Mareta Kause (Universitas Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa)

"It has almost been one year since I have joined the Mangrove Sip & Share community. It has been an excellent experience, every single Sunday I joined the event and meet up with friends from different universities.
I joined one of mangrove's networking seminars and I met so many new people and I even got my first job because of the seminar! I hope to join every Sip & Share!"

Feivel Fathirulhaq (Universitas Islam Indonesia)

"The Mangrove isn't just a place to have coffee or grab a snack. It's a place where friends meet, connect through English, and enjoy meaningful conversations. People from different backgrounds and cultures, speaking different languages, come together to chat, learn from one another, and have fun. As someone who doesn't speak Indonesian fluently, it's been such a wonderful way to get to know amazing people from all over the world."
